Doctor Bahri Adis is Invisalign Certified Provider. Invisalign is a confortable and aesthetic breakthrough in orthodontics.
Invisalign is one of the most advanced dental treatments currently available only after careful medical consultation and prescription. It is indicated for straightening teeth during malocclusions treatment.
Invisalign consists of a series of custom-made removable aligners which move teeth gradually towards a projected final position.
After determining whether Invisalign works for a patient, Doctor Bahri Adis will create a detailed treatement plan, as a result of which a set of clear plastic aligner will be custom-made on the basis of panorex, cephaolmetric analysis and an impression. The latter will be then sent to Invisalign labs for digital processing.
Using ClinCheck®, a virtual 3D treatment plan, it will be possible to see the series of movements that a patient’s teeth are expected to go through over the course of the treatment – and to know in advance how the teeth will look at the end of the Invisalign treatment planned by Dr. Adis.
Following Dr. Adis’s treatment plan, and on the basis of patient’s data, a set of two aligners (upper and lower) is created which will be worn for two or three weeks. At the end of this period, determined by Dr. Adis, a new set of aligners will replace the first, and so on until the last set is worn. The Invisalign treatment therefore requires a two-week check-up to monitor teeth movement and to get the new set of aligners. During the treatment, small movements will be visible and teeth will gradually shift for a better and straighter smile.
Aligners must be worn all day long, except for meals, after which they can be restored following tooth brushing and cleaning. The aligners are especially confortable as they are extremely thin, present no metal wire and are made with a special clear resin which renders them virtually invisible. They cover teeth only; they do not interfere with gums or the tongue, thus avoding speech defects caused by traditional braces instead. The Invisalign treatment is compatible with other orthodontic treatments and it can last between 6 and 48 months depending on the complexity of the straightening issues. Generally, a complete treatment requires between 18 and 36 sets of aligners for the upper and lower arches and a treatment period between 9 and 18 months, varying from patient to patient.
Once treatement is complete, results can be retained through Vivera retainers designed by Invisalign. Vivera retainers maintain the new teeth alignment thanks to three special clear retainers which help to protect the patients’ newlyfound smile.
Over a million patients have used Vivera retainers since its launch and this number is expected to grow given its success.
